It is the  mission of the Marquette Area Public School Education Foundation to acquire and distribute financial and other resources to the Marquette Area Public Schools for unique programs and activities which supplement and enhance the quality of education and provide students with extended learning opportunities.

The Marquette Area Public Schools Education Foundation is an organization formed of citizens residing in the Marquette community composed of interested parents of current or former students, professional/career persons and others who have a strong interest in the education, events or special projects that are ongoing throughout the Marquette Area Public Schools. The Marquette Area Public Schools Education Foundation grants program is to support innovative curriculum development, instructional improvement, and student educational activities. The Foundation encourages the development of projects that enhance learning experiences beyond those included in the school district budget.

The Foundation directs support toward the following goals:
A. To promote student development.

1. Provide resources for unique enrichment activities for students.
2. Provide support for students to pursue extraordinary educational opportunities.
3. Recognize outstanding student accomplishments.
4. Provide scholarships.

 B. To encourage excellence among employees.

1. Provide grants for creative teaching ideas, special instructional programs and research.
2. Support unique growth opportunities for all MAPS district employees.
3. Recognize employee accomplishments.

C. To encourage school/community partnership.

1. Promote community awareness about school district programs.
2. Provide ways for individuals and organizations to share resources with the schools to enhance learning.
3. Facilitate cooperative ventures among the Foundation, community groups, and the school district.
4. Promote unity throughout the school district and its community.

The Foundation welcomes any donations or contributions for its continued efforts to provide the resources to fund grants for the ideas and proposals of the Marquette Area Public Schools' district faculty, staff and students. All contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible under the lows governing 501©3 organizations. The ultimate benefit of contributing to the Foundation is the satisfaction of giving tor our future by supporting the endeavors of our students and aiding in their success.
