Impact-a-Life Scholarship
Homecoming Raffle
What is the Raffle all about? The Marquette Area Public Schools Education Foundation (MAPSEF) supports students in our public schools by awarding grants for staff and students, and scholarships for graduating MAPS seniors.
Last year, through the generosity of our Marquette community, MAPSEF was able to provide every eligible senior applicant of the graduating class of 2018 with a scholarship for continuing educational expenses, amounting in 118 students receiving $150,000 in scholarships! MAPSEF anticipates even more scholarship applicants from this year’s class and our board is dedicated to help meet the needs of MAPS students facing the ever-rising cost of post-secondary education. This fall, MAPSEF will host the first annual ‘Impact-A-Life’ raffle. The winner of the raffle drawing will receive $300, and the name of the MSHS/MAHS student on the winning ticket will receive a $3,000 scholarship to be given upon their graduation! Parents of MAPS high school students are encouraged to sell raffle tickets (students cannot sell or purchase tickets), and write the name of their student on each ticket sold. Tickets are $5 each. Any money raised over the prize total will be put in the MAPS Education Foundation Fund to provide for additional future scholarships. |
