What is the Raffle all about?
The Marquette Area Public Schools Education Foundation (MAPSEF) supports students in our public schools by awarding grants for staff and students, and scholarships for graduating MAPS seniors.
Last year, through the generosity of our Marquette community, MAPSEF was able to provide every eligible senior applicant of the graduating class of 2018 with a scholarship for continuing educational expenses, amounting in 118 students receiving $150,000 in scholarships!
MAPSEF anticipates even more scholarship applicants from this year’s class and our board is dedicated to help meet the needs of MAPS students facing the ever-rising cost of post-secondary education.
This fall, MAPSEF will host the first annual ‘Impact-A-Life’ raffle. The winner of the raffle drawing will receive $300, and the name of the MSHS/MAHS student on the winning ticket will receive a $3,000 scholarship to be given upon their graduation!
Parents of MAPS high school students are encouraged to sell raffle tickets (students cannot sell or purchase tickets), and write the name of their student on each ticket sold. Tickets are $5 each. Parents can pick up tickets at:
Book Pick-Up Week at MSHS: August 21-24, 9:00 am - 3PM
Home Football Game Tailgate Party: August 24, 5:30-6:30pm
Homecoming Week at MSHS: September 17-19, 8:00 am - noon
Or contact our office at 225-5324. Watch for additional raffle updates on our Facebook page, “Marquette Area Public Schools Education Foundation.”
Interested parents must purchase tickets at the time of pick-up. Parents will be responsible for returning ticket stubs to the school by September 18. (Tuesday) at noon. The winning ticket will be drawn at the MSHS Homecoming Assembly, on Friday, September 21 at 11am in the Barb Crill Memorial Gymnasium at MSHS.
Thank you, in advance, for your participation and support of our students,
MAPS Education Foundation Board President

Our ability to provide gifts to current students and grads has grown over the years with the exceptional generosity of the Marquette community. A total of $150,000 was given to 118 Marquette graduates.
Why raffle a Scholarship? Next year the Foundation will receive even more applications we would love to approve. We will need the support of parents, families and the local community to achieve this goal for our deserving students.

What is done with the proceeds? Any money raised over the prize total will be put in the MAPS Education Foundation Fund to provide for additional future scholarships.
